Anika is a Rebel with a cause. With no place to call home, and no friend to turn to, it wasn't long before she was forced to live a life not conducive to her well being. Realizing her potential took time. Eventually, Anika discovered that her happiest points were in helping others. After working as a Set Dresser for film and television for several years, she returned to school to study Business at George Brown College. Anika's first student placement landed her a position at a non-profit organization which drastically influenced her decision not to work for any more major corporations; but instead to assist community organizations in fulfilling their mandate to support those in need. Now a Social Worker and Counsellor, Anika is always looking for ways to share resources and build resources that will benefit the community at large. Her passion for thrift/vintage clothing was inspired by her peers who were also poor, but rich in heart and who were able to show her the virtue in humility and how beauty can be found in treasures from the past.

Hey good ppl, still a few volunteer/intern spots left. We can't grow without you. One of my best volunteer opps was working with ReelWorld film festival as their administrative coordinator. It did wonders for my resume as I navigated my way through the corporate world into the non profit sector. Check our site (http://rebeljunction.tumblr.com) for all job descriptions then pls send your resumes to: rebeljunction@gmail.com
